This was a unique trip that came about as a last
minute trip. Once again in lieu of the Paul
Petzoldt trail adventure I'd planned. It was a
roller coaster of a summer. As well and the
passing of my father which lead me to change plans
continually. To salvage a lot of training that I
had accomplished for the Wyoming-Idaho trip, I was
able to score a permit for Mt Whitney trail. A
group of five from our hiking club made up our merry
little band: Mark W and Annie (from my Grand Canyon
trip) and Anne and Krystan (newcomers).
