Circuitous Routes and Moonlight Hikes

I wanted the see the canyon under a snow fall and I got my wish.  I was driving through the main gate during a pretty good snowfall.  I drove out to Yavapai point and the inner gorge was shrouded with a low lying cloud cover.  The temperature was steadily dropping and it would be an interesting hike down the next day.  I spent the remainder of the evening walking along the south rim taking in the canyon under a new snow fall. There was no problem getting one of the Bright Angel Cabins, and I forgot just how thin were those walls (both in sound and heat).
